The first closed-loop yoga mat:
- Developed with the Fraunhofer Institute and in close cooperation with yoga teachers
- Patent due to special composition and production process
- Durable & hygienic: closed-pored surface does not absorb sweat

- Includes hejhej-band made of organic cotton for easy storage and transport

- With a width of ca. 64 cm wider than most yoga mats for extra space and comfort, and with 5 mm thickness extra soft for knees and spine while providing strength for balance and stability
- Each hejhej-mat is unique and the colors of the speckles vary depending on production
Social:
- Collaboration with workplaces for people with disabilities: There the logo is sewn onto your hejhej-mat. The workplace packs your hejhej-mat and sends it plastic-free and climate neutral to you
- €1 per hejhej-mat goes to the NGO EarthChild Project. It gives children in the townships of Cape Town access to yoga and environmental studies
Ecological:
- Production 100% in Germany
- CO2 neutral production: The production hall is equipped with solar modules, which are used to operate the machines
- Per hejhej-mat approx.1.5 kg of foam off-cuts are upcycled. Thanks to the closed product cycle, these resources are recycled again and again into yoga mats and yoga blocks
- The logo on the hejhej-mat is made from biodegradable hemp
Recycling:
- Once your recycled yoga mat has reached the end of the product life cycle, you can send it back to hejhej free of charge
- For the recycling process, it is disassembled into its individual components and thus forms the raw material for new hejhej-mats and hejhej blocks
- This gives the materials a new product life and you get a 15% discount code for your next closed-loop purchase
Care:
The hejhej-mats yoga mat is particularly sustainable and designed for longevity. To maintain the outstanding quality, please follow our care instructions:
- Use a slightly damp cloth to clean your hejhej-mat
- Not machine washable, please do not shower completely.
- Avoid direct sunlight on the light hejhej-mat. We avoid chemical sunscreen because it is better for the environment and healthier for us as humans. Therefore, store your hejhej-mat in a place protected from light, for example in your hejhej bag, to avoid color changes. Note: Color changes have no effect on the functionality, longevity and quality of the hejhej-mat.

Shipping times: not perfect, but planet-friendly
Generally, orders are dispatched within 3 working days. Most common shipping times are within 1-2 weeks. Our products come from different vendors across Europe, so shipping times might not sync up perfectly, especially for combined orders. But hey, that’s the price of working with eco-conscious brands who prioritize sustainability over speed. Karen’s not about cutting corners, and neither are we. Thanks for sticking with us—it’s all part of saving the planet responsibly.
Shipping fees: simple and fair
Smaller items ship for a fixed rate, and when you bundle them, you only pay one shipping fee (excl. items from collection "HUMANS SUCK" by RSG). For larger or oddly shaped items, we charge two higher fixed rates to ensure they arrive safe, sound, and Karen-approved.

Most items can be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery, but don’t make a habit of it, okay? After all, sustainability isn’t just about buying better, but keeping waste in check too.
